Our full name is Skopelos Caring for Animals and Nature. We have been a registered Greek charity, (number 1777) since 2000, and our main aim since then has been the promotion of respect for pets, nature and the creation of positive and responsible behaviour. 

Our Aims

• The promotion of respect for pets, nature and the creation of positive and responsible behaviour. More specifically our objectives are;-
  
  
• The prevention of cruelty to animals such as neglect, abandonment and the indiscriminate use of poisonous substances by use of relevant information and publicity.
  
• Giving assistance to the municipality of Skopelos for the care of stray and abandoned animals through feeding and adoption
  
• Contributing to the maintenance of a healthy, controlled cat population for the benefit of the municipality.
  
• Arranging for the regular visits of vets for the care of sick or injured animals, care for their diet and other advice given for the animal's benefit.
  
• The rendering of first aid to injured or sick animals until the vet's arrival.
  
• Organising volunteer groups from the members of the society who will undertake the maintenance of cleanliness and care of the beaches and the countryside of Skopelos.
  
• Assisting the municipality through the organisation of educational activities in support of the society's aim.
