The
stuffed chicken is our specialty. A family recipe invented by the founder
of this restaurant, our beloved mother and grandmother Nina.
Her love for
cooking and people inspired the opening of "Terpsis" restaurant
in 1965!
"Terpsis"
meaning pleasure in Greek language, was exactly the goal she had for
her customers. She
would spend all day cooking in her little kitchen. She
would just like she would for her family.
Her stuffed chicken
has become famous all over the world.
It is stuffed
with walnuts from the local walnut trees and spices. It
is cooked slowly in a delicious tomato sauce and is served whole.
The preparation
takes the better part of a morning and that is why orders must be made
at least a day in advance.
This family recipe
has been passed on to her son and daughter-in-law, the present owners
and cooks.
We will not disclose
the recipe because it is not same unless enjoyed in the pleasant atmosphere
of the open gardens at "Terpsis".
