During the summer season, there are approximately 13–16 daily bus routes operating between Skopelos Chora and Loutraki (Glossa), and around 20 routes between Skopelos Chora (Town) and Neo Klima (Elios). The company operating the bus services announces the schedules gradually as the summer season approaches. On Skopelosweb, we provide indicative timetables and make every effort to keep them updated as soon as official information becomes available. At the beaches of Stafylos & Velanio, Limnonari, Milia, Kastani and Ftelia, the bus stop is located higher up on the main road, and access requires an uphill walk. The road is paved in all cases, except for Ftelia where part of the route is a dirt road. At Agnontas and Panormos, the bus stop is at beach level, while in Neo Klima (Hovolo) the stop is also relatively flat and close to sea level. Please note that access to Hovolo beach requires extra attention when passing over the rocks, although the beaches of Neo Klima are also easily accessible. From the bus stop at Palio Klima, there is a hiking path to Agios Ioannis (approx. 4.2 km – about 1 hour one way). This is a demanding route and is recommended only under suitable conditions (avoid peak summer heat). Alternatively, from the junction near Agios Ioannis before Glossa, the distance is approximately 4.6 km (about 1 hour downhill and significantly longer uphill). For this reason, we recommend visiting Agios Ioannis either by taxi from Glossa, by organized tours, or with your own means of transport. Although the walking route is beautiful, it is quite demanding due to elevation differences, especially during the summer.
