SKOPELOS
THE SETTLEMENTS AND SIGHTSEEINGS ON SKOPELOS

Skopelos Island
BEAUTIFUL VILLAGES & NATURE

Skopelos is Greece.
It is the Aegean.
It is blue and blue-green at the same time.
It is sunlight falling on tiled rooftops. Olive trees and pine forests reaching all the way down to the sea. Almond blossoms in spring. Jasmine filling the neighbourhoods on warm summer evenings.
It is traditional settlements that still breathe in their own rhythm. Narrow alleys, small courtyards, stone steps leading to tiny white chapels. Monasteries standing quietly above the island, looking out over the open sea. Forests embracing the hills. Beaches shifting from bright turquoise to deep green as the light changes.
Here, nature is not a backdrop , it is presence.
And tradition is not decoration , it is everyday life.
Skopelos does not try to impress.
It simply is.
A small island in the Aegean with countless corners, colours and scents ,
each one waiting to stay with you long after you leave.

Skopelos, the island’s capital (Chora)
Among the houses there are numerous small churches, which are maintained with particular respect by the Skopelos people, thus meticulously continuing their religious tradition.

Shortly before reaching Glossa, om your right, you come across a road that leads to the chapel of Ai Giannis at Kastri.
The chapel of Ai Giannis is at the top of a rock 100 m high and to reach it one must climb about 200 steps cut into the rock.
